How to commission a piece

The Process

Initial contact

Clients may make an appointment to visit the Studio or telephone/email us to discuss your specific requirements. Alternatively details of approximate sizes, location and design requirements of the windows can be sent to the Studio for consideration.

Please supply us with sufficient information with which we can make efficient feedback. It is very important to establish the client's available budget at the early stages of the process so that the Studio can assess whether the proposal is achievable. Most importantly the site of the proposed commission must be visited in order to receive full consideration of the setting and your brief.

Design process and further meeting

The studio charges for carrying out all design work. We would indicate the cost of this in advance and only begin on instruction. The finished sketch designs would be presented to you during a further visit for your consideration, together with a firm quotation for the work.

Final cost established and agreed upon

If the customer is happy, the commission will now progress

Work undertaken

Construction of the glasswork can be started following your approval of the design sketches, subject to the next available opening in the Studio. Lead-in times will be advised.
